I've been saying since last year that all the publicly stated reasons for the Greenland stuff were smokescreens for climate change related reasons. They can't talk about it out loud because they have to keep claiming climate change is a seeseepee hoax (and Trump himself may not even be aware that this is a consideration), but the people who are really making the decisions here know the score.

‘Security’ is really such a catchall term. I never considered that having enough water would make your country ‘secure’. I suppose I dont understand words anymore.

I'd want someone to tell me if it was cheaper (and more secure) to harvest melt ice and sail it to where you need fresh water rather than just building desalination plants where you need fresh water.
