It’s always been inconsistent for me and I’ve usually suspected it to be the fault of the instance but I don’t know.

I just checked. Upvotes take a long time but do load, just a few days out of date. Downvotes aren't loading. Pretty sure I've gotten them to load in the past, but as with the upvotes it was out of date. Never knew if that was an app, instance, or Lemmy issue.
