Hey folks!

How is your surfacelinux-experience so far? Which hardware do you use and which distro brings the best experience for you at the moment in your opinion?

(Currently I'm using Ubuntu on my SP9, but I'm curious if there are already equal or better options, since I'm not really a fan of Ubuntu...)

Have a nice day!

Still hopeful there will be a fully working linux distro for snapdragon machines!

Bought a surface laptop 7 to play around with an NPU (specifically on device AI) and am disappointed. But I do love how well the elite performs, and battery life.

Shame MS is all in on bullshit cloud AI rather than focusing on highly optimised and functional local only, on device AI

A couple of months ago I finally got Linux on my surface go 1.

Went with endeavourOS and it’s good. But happy to take feedback on suggested touch screen distro

Surface Laptop 4 with PopOS for four years now. It is great. Though the touchscreen stopped working recently. No idea why.

EndeavourOS works great on my old SP4. And it wasn't hard to underclock the thing, to try and prevent heat-related malfunctions.

I don't use the thing every day, but when I need it it's reliable.

I put mint on mine and the touch doesn't work. Allegedly there's a custom kernel I need? I've pretty much stopped using it entirely.
