Who uses SMS today? 100% of SMS usage for me last N+1 years is for OTPs and such

I use SMS/RCS. Not everyone uses Signal, and I won't install WhatsApp.

Yeah, same here. I occasionally I need it to get OTP codes to log into banking sites and whatnot, and it'd be nice not to have to go hunting around for my phone if I don't have it handy.

Ok that's n interesting application, damn I always have my phone around....

But yes, it would be interesting. Point is, I can't think of how I would work unless you replace your phone message app with this one, and thrust it.

For OTPs you might not want to send them by email, emails are a little less secure than SMS (it's easier for a third party to hack your email than to intercept your SMS)

My entire family still talks with eachother over SMS or phone call. Not everyone is on an app :P
