Trump is not the reason for China's ascendancy and America's decline, he's just the (well paid and fully willing, ofc) scapegoat handpicked to supervise and sell the restructuring of America as a regional power, one that relies much more on local blood, sweat and tears than foreign, to Americans. Corruption killed the empire, and money folk with global interests are more than happy to manage the corpse because there's still money to be made from it, they don't care about their nation even if they were born there, because they don't care about people.
