No surprise. They were full of shit then, they still are.

That's the reason why arguing with fascism is always a waste of time and resources. They're full of shit. They can bullshit you to death.

They can bullshit you to death.

And they often do. Literally.

Also masks are a-okay now. Fucking selfish cowards.

MAGA: No to masks for protecting our neighbors; yes to masks for hiding our coward faces.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

It's always about themselves. They lack empathy. They can't fathom the importance of protecting others, but will always protect themselves.

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

All while wearing a mask to hide their cowardly identities.

The unprincipled, hiding behind principles (when convenient)

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

See, we are principled, so when they call us on it we feel bad. They are incapable of feeling bad so anything works for them, whether it makes any sense or not. This is why you can't reason someone out of a position they did not use reason to get to. We should all just stop listening to them, period. Let them bitch and moan into the void, where their bitching belongs.

Dawg, the boot done came out the other side.

That’s an ignorant take.

It’s a dog whistle. They just assume that their group would never be targeted. What they are saying is:

‘The government is gonna weed out the “impure” from anyone who isn’t republican.’

Edit: looks like most people are missing my point (possibly should have been more clear). I think it’s ignorant to think they are thinking of rules that apply to everyone. This is more about in group and out group logic.

The mask thing was rules for the in groups, so they oppose. ICE is taking the rights of the out group (minorities and leftists), so no problem from their view.

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago

Hold up. What’s the ‘take’?

This is literally just things they have said.

[–] SarahValentine@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 23 hours ago

Reality is a "take" now. This is where we're at.

[–] Hypnotoad_@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's an ignorant take to point out the facts that happened? Literally nothing was inferred here except for whatever you came up with in your head

[–] balderdash9@lemmy.zip 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think they're saying the OP is dog whisteling. He's saying the conservative "just obey" attitude is a dog whistle because racists think it will never be applied to them. They say "just comply" but they're really talking to minorities.

[–] Hypnotoad_@sh.itjust.works 4 points 16 hours ago

I understand but the verbiage just didn't make sense. There's no "take" here.

[–] Blum0108@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

I don't think it's ignorant to point out their hypocrisy.

[–] Saapas@piefed.zip -3 points 22 hours ago

I mean the people on the other side have moved too, from "just comply with the stuff" to "know your constitutional rights, never comply, fight back".

The two switched positions hah
