"Show me your proof of citizenship"

"No, and also, fuck you"

Yeah sure, show them papers so that they will be confiscated, then ICE can claim the person didn't show any documentation and do whatever the fuck they want (not that proof of citizenship would stop them... Or anything. These thugs will do whatever they want regardless.)

Guilty until proven innocent

we can “prove” it by exercising all of our rights as they currently exist and to the letter. this nazi bitch is a reminder they want to remove those rights; they can and they eventually will if we do not use them.

I would not prove my citizenship, it’s their job to prove I’m not a citizen.

I remember during the Obama administration when my MAGA relative (at that time a Tea-Partier) was scaremongering saying that the government was going to send enforcers telling everyone they come across on the street to show ID and proof of citizenship or else they'll get sent to a concentration camp.

This person today is cheering all of this on.

You really don't need to maintain ties with these people, blood doesn't have to be family.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

I realized that about 8 years ago when I went no contact. 🙂

I do still take a peek at their Facebook every now and then just for shits and gigs, to get an idea of what MAGA is freaking out at any given time on the local level.

They're not against camps, they're against "their people" being sent there.

Sorry for the awkward wording, it's not often I get to use all three forms in a single sentence.

How about I show you the bill of rights?

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

That old thing?

[–] DrFistington@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Naturally they won't give a list of the forms of ID they accept.

We need to start cranking out fake ICE badges, then use those to prove ID

There's the reason people are painting "Hang Kristi Noem" on ICE vehicles

Turns out we're a nation of immigrants. Therefore, everyone's eligible to be deported.

Does raise some questions about why ICE exists to begin with and what its purpose has actually been.
