Diagnosed with being a great actor. Look at all the money he saved by not really being sick or injured too!

Once we took my dog to a park on the bay but we tried to avoid letting her go in the water because she would need a bath afterward. It wasn't a particularly hot day but after trying to go towards the water twice and being told to stay with us, she started walking slowly, hanging her, head and panting heavily. A few minutes later, she started to limp. I checked her feet to make sure she didn't pick up a burr or foxtail and couldn't find any sign of the problem so I turned to walk back towards the car. She refused to follow. I went to pick her up, worried that she might be injured and she darted away.

Finally, I gestured in the direction of the water and said, "Fine, go swimming."

She took off running only pausing once to let me catch up before she would have lost sight of me on her way to the water.

The strange part is, she's not a particularly smart dog except for when she is being emotionally manipulative. Also, for the record, she was pissed about needing a bath when we got home.

Edit: forgot the dog tax.

This is too real for me right now. I just took mine to the vet last week thinking she had some sort of neck injury only to figure out a few days later that she was having anxiety separation attacks because I went back to work after taking a week for Xmas off. $400 bill but at least I have a supply of emergency doggie pain meds now.
