For the PS2 make sure you change the output settings to component. I got mine and spent hours trying to figure out why everything was purple. Never even thought to see if there was a setting for it until I luckily found an old forum post that enlightened me.

Made a world of difference back on my Wii (the Wii was still outputting analog).
The original composite cable was making everything blurry with colours bleeding all over the place.
indeed, component was tops back in the day! today i use SCART with my Genesis to my Retrotink.
I'm still connecting my mega drive via RF 😩 my tv only has a single scart slot in the back and a composite in the front with 1 audio input.
