If they reasonably wanted to provide this service during flights, would there be an existing, established and global alternative? I am not up to date on sat internet.
It was mostly a joke, but there is IRIS² which should be complete by 2030... who knows though lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If there is one then Lufthansa doesn’t know about it, based on my experience with Lufthansa long haul flights between Europe and East Asia. They sell connectivity but it never really works.
