If you took all the money from every American billionaire and gave it away each American would get 23k. Once.

American's worshiping of money is vomitive: the irony of stripping rich people of their wealth so they themseves become rich is utterly lost on them.

It's not about taking it away to make people rich.

It's about taking it away because wealth hoarders actively try to make other people poor and sick.

A one off 23k would fundamentally change the lives (for the better) of so so so many people.

Seems like a good deal.

if billionaires can no longer control or society, we all become rich

This is correct. That's one of the reasons that tax reform is not the solution. There are other reasons, but this is one of them.

The solution is the abolition of private property and private profit.

Since when would tax reform mean the money is distributed among the people? The intended goal of tax reform is to make more money available for things that benefit the public, like education or roads or what have you. Yes, I know, now you're going to snark about politicians never ever actually using tax money in that way. Not the point.

Edit: typo

You could make a UBi with the tax money. You could spend it on singlepayer public healthcare. You could fund pensions with it. It doesn't matter.

That's not simply distributing the money to everyone like the OP is thinking.

Yes, and even if you did it, it wouldn't help.
