Are you sure? The president doesn’t really hold any real power in Germany, that would be the chancellor.

15% trust in US

The majority of AfD and BSW voters, 25% of last elections votes cast, did not see Russia as a threat (Feb '25), which would get to 15% of Germans just from those parties. Germany will refuse to poll on which country to trust more, but it wouldn't surprise me if people would prefer a shift towards more neutrality to both nations.

What has the German president done to preserve it? Throw some money to Ukraine with a few outdated tanks? That's not enough. Evil prevails where the good ones (is Germany even a good one?) are passively chewing the snots and sending harsh-worded letters with deep concerns.
