And god, ostensibly being omniscient, put all of that into effect all while already knowing 100% that they were going to eat the fruit. It’s not really “giving them a chance” when you already know perfectly well what they’re going to do, now is it?

It was supposedly a test of obedience, which they failed...

But it makes no sense for God to pull such a test, as they're meant to be omniscient. They would have known the outcome of the test before it even started.

Makes a lot more sense when you view it as a parable written by an ancient people who never actually thought that logic through.

Intentionally setting them up for failure with no chance of success. I’ve had bosses like that.
