You think tankies drink US propaganda? Regardless of how it's thrown around today as a dismissive term to designed to separate the left, do you know where the term even originates?
My man really gonna blame the USA for how the Soviets quell an uprising? ( like blaming the Palestinian throwing a rock for what Israel is doing in Gaza)
The term tankie originated in England as a slur for the socialist/communist party at the time that was largely in lockstep with the Soviets and didn’t speak out against their brutality.
Tankies were British Socialists.

The uprising was a CIA backed coup attempt, confirmed by the CIAs internal documents. I don't know how else to tell you that you're using the empires rhetoric against fellow leftists. I think you misunderstand what tankie means entirely.
It literally was a slur used to describe the British socialist / communist party that was in lockstep with the Soviets and was FOR their brutal responses. Saw them as right and didn’t speak against them.
It is literally a term used to slur folks who believe the “through any means necessary, especially violence”
I don’t care why the Hungarian Uprising happened in context to how the Soviets reacted and where the term tankie came from, that’s irrelevant to what is being said. I don’t doubt the CIA had a hand in any of it, but I know it was the Soviet Tank Diplomacy that the term tankie is referencing.
You can’t just arbitrarily rewrite history and try to change something because you don’t like it, you can try but it just makes you wrong.

I support the least-worst countries: ones that directly oppose fascism. One day there will be better states with influence on the international stage which can better spur us towards communism, and I will support them, but we are not there yet. Until the capitalism falls? Yes, I will stand with them, arms linked.
Just because a rock is not a perfect stepping stone doesn't mean one can't leverage it to get the one we want.

As a member of the community, of course I do, and I recognize that China isn't there, which is why I said what I said before. On the other hand you have the American Empire, which is actively trying to give all rights to capitalists while stripping the LGBT community of what little they had of which I'd argue was, at best, lip service due to no one having a right to the essentials of food, water, selter.
You don't know what civil liberties are, otherwise you wouldn't be here trying to stir up argunents among the left and would be trying to defend them against capitalists. China is the only superpower that even tries to keep them in check.
