Liminal spaces are the subject of an Internet aesthetic portraying empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition (pertaining to the concept of liminality) or of nostalgic appeal.

The handicap sign next to just one unit makes me wonder if all the others have stairs right beyond the roll up door or something.

As all able-bodied humans should be able to do

Notice that one has a strap to help pull the door down.

Some other differences would be dedicated bolted down shelving inside.

There is probably a door to the right of the camera which leads to an elevator.

All storage buildings are actually portals to the same storage dimension, sort of like the lockers in No Man’s Sky.

I like that it's a liminal space for the stuff to be in as well

I hate these buildings.. giant warehouses taking up huge amounts of land for storing what I can only assume is mostly junk people can't be bothered to donate/giveaway/throw out. granted some people really do need it, but overall I suspect that's not the case.

plus they are always ugly AF with shitty ads and crap plastered over em
