I'm surprised there are still 2 people participating, myself and Unattibuted. I guess this is new to some, so I get it. Plus, on top of that, we seem to have more time to do this than others, especially myself (because of aloneness).

I should add, also, that I don't think the leader board really fits what we want for this event. I was hoping there was a setting where we could have individual bars for each person on each day...but it only supports stacked bar graph, which really isn't fitting.
There actually is a feature for that. It's to the right of the alternating arrow thing.
That's a stacked bar graph (one bar on top of another bar), not a side-by-side bar graph.
I'm not surprised, we are still a small community, and not all types of writing are going to attract numerous people interested in participating.
On top of this, scheduling this event for January was always going to have some potential issues. We are, after all, talking about starting an event on a holiday, and right at the conclusion of the holidays for many people. On top of this, many are getting ready to restart their normal routine after being on vacation for a week or two.
And, this is also a bit more personal, and therefore more sensitive style of writing. Even the idea of being public about the amount of progress they are making can be quite a big ask. (I will say, I know there are some people that are following along with the event, even if they aren't posting publicly about it.)
So, this doesn't surprise me... I think this community, and the events that we will be hosting, will gain more attention and participation as we keep going, keep being open, and keep building trust.
