I kinda figured the food delivery services would end up operating this way. Number must go up, and the only two groups they can squeeze that from are customers and drivers.

There's stuff they charge the restaurants for too. They manage to take from all three parties of a transaction while contributing the least value.

Are we going to pretend they aren't all doing shit like this? I guessed as much and I have never used "ride-sharing" apps or delivery apps because they're inherently exploitative.
All of them.
Shit like this is why I nearly always pick up my food. The rare occasion where I do order delivery I’ll call a local shop that I know has their own employee drivers
A local restaurant here has switched to having their own employees doing their delivery.. Moved that place up to top of the choice list when getting food out.
