I noticed not all comments are visible in the app. Sometimes not even my own. E.g. I'll see a post with reported 40 comments, but when I open it, only 5 are visible. Oftentimes when I reply to a post, I don't see my own comment. I don't have this issues in my instance in browser and another Piefed/Lemmy Android client, so it's definitely a Boost bug. Not sure how to help troubleshoot it.

I can confirm this using Piefed rather than Lemmy. I don't have the issue on Lemmy.

I've seen this occasionally too, but always assumed it because my instance was de-federated from the commenters instance.

I initially thought so, too, but I checked in browser and another Android client to confirm it's a Boost bug.

Does pulling down to refresh not update it for you?

Here's an example. 28 comments total, but only 11 are visible to me in Boost.

I get all 32, so thats odd. Do you have any boost specific block lists perhaps?

No, but according to the other comments here, seems to be specific to Piefed login.
