The report says that the last comparable earthquake in the region happened in 1700, and pegs the likelihood of such an extreme event between two to 10 per cent within the next 30 years.

Well yeah, but that is one of the things that you can't do very much about, at least.

I'd put my focus on climate change, at least. There are hundreds of issues that can and will kill us that we caused ourselves.and can fix ourselves, and we're not fixing any of those, so why even bother with this one?
