The only thing worth looking forward to.
I think know what you mean... but remember no politics here. ❤️
Going on bike rides with my daughter who just learned how to ride one.
That's so lovely!
That is awesome!
I'm getting married in January. So looking forward to it
Congratulations to you and your spouse! I hope the day is perfect
Well, i imagine there will be times where the weather is nice. So that
Unironically this is the best answer. I’m trying to look for the little everyday joys in life and to stop hanging out for the big event that may or may not come.
Trip to Iceland to hopefully see a (not overcast this time, please!) total eclipse.
Ticket bought, hostel booked, nerves frazzled, bank account terrified.
That sounds amazing! Trip of a lifetime hope it goes gloriously
Gonna make some more shit out of wood.
There are other ways to get fiber!
But serious- awesome! I'd love to improve my woodworking skills too. What have you made so far?
Oh man, I've made dozens of things at this point. Every gift I gave at Christmas this year was at least partially made by me. A couple of nice boxes, a bird feeder, a book shelf, some book stands, and a serving tray. In the last year I've made a coffee serving station, a handful of different record displays, key hooks, towel hangars, various tables and shelves, a solo stove ring that has managed to not light on fire yet, a few different bird houses and feeders, and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of rn.
It's really the best hobby, I love being surrounded by durable things that I built myself. Getting my daily dose of fiber via one deep breath after forgetting to turn on my dust collector is just a perk.
What all have you made?
Every gift I gave at Christmas this year was at least partially made by me.
That's amazing, I want to get to the point where that's how my gift giving is, wood-based or otherwise.
I made some garden beds, a knife handle, and a bowl (at a lathe class).
I would kill for a lathe. I got to use them in shop in high school, but no room for one in my single car garage shop lol. It's a super rewarding hobby if you can stomach doing an absurd amount of sanding.
Ooooooh what you gonna make?
Well, it'll really depend on my friends and family lol. About 25% of my projects are for me, and the other 75% are things that other people ask for or receive as gifts. I've got a couple of people wanting cutting boards, a cat scratching board that goes over the arm of a couch (not sure it's a wise choice, but it's what they want), a lamp, some sound diffusion wall panels, a yarn rack, and I'm thinking about trying my hand at instrument making.
I'm helping a friend get his business up and running. It's been a challenge but I think it will get better.
That's a really lovely thing to do! It'll really help him
There's lots of anime that got renewed that I'm looking forward to watching this year, but I am so HYPED to watch the Steel Ball Run anime! The trailer looks amazing and I can't wait to see how they adopt everything from the manga.
I've been meditating for about two years now, and just a week ago I finally reached a deeper level where this like "living silence" literally drowned out all the noise around me. The only other time I've heard that silence was during my NDE almost 8 years ago, and I didn't realize meditation could lead to the same place, so I'm pretty excited to see what new things I experience
Im very interested in your experience, both the NDE and your subsequent meditation journey. Is there someplace I can learn more?
Do you use an app or some other guide for learning the meditation?
Hi! The NDE started me searching online for other NDEs to try and figure out what happened to me. I still haven't found any like mine. But I did find The Ra Material/the Law of One. I bought the books before I found the reddit where ppl often post the free link, so here it is lol: www.lawofone.info/s/1. The most valuable paragraph to me is right there in the first session:
"In truth there is no right or wrong. There is no polarity for all will be, as you would say, reconciled at some point in your dance through the mind/body/spirit complex which you amuse yourself by distorting in various ways at this time. This distortion is not in any case necessary. It is chosen by each of you as an alternative to understanding the complete unity of thought which binds all things. You are not speaking of similar or somewhat like entities or things. You are every thing, every being, every emotion, every event, every situation. You are unity. You are infinity. You are love/light, light/love. You are. This is the Law of One."
There's a lot of "transient" stuff in the books from the questioner I don't care about at all, but it describes densities, and to me it sounds like the layers I went up thru in the NDE, changing form each time, and that's the closest I can find online to what happened. It also talks about healing and time being possibility/probability vortexes. Seems more accurate to what I experienced than "timeline jumping." Which might be another good way to look at it tho if you still want to view time as linear not simultaneous. I was gone for 5 hrs and when I got back my body was no longer viable, so I knew I'd have to find a new one to continue on Earth. I told my higher self I wanted a place where "everyone could learn to heal like I did (by understanding consciousness creates matter)" and "somewhere close enough I wouldn't get lost." I ended up here, and so far I'm super pleased with this place. Some things are different, but there aren't enough differences that I'm like wtf is happening 😂 I no longer had hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Marfan's Syndrome, scoliosis, MCAS, strep throat, and MRSA in my kidneys when I came back, and have stayed healthy ever since. I post about it on r/NDE and r/lawofone, but it was 5 hrs, way too much happened for me to type it up in one place. Maybe if I could just talk and someone ask questions and type it up for me, idk.
Anyways the books repeatedly recommend daily meditation and say there's no right or wrong way to do that. So I tried breath and guided and focusing on an object, none of it worked, so I tried contemplation meditation and that's what works for me. I researched the 5 stages of meditation, but only recently after hearing the silence bc I was like "What was happening?" 😂 I didn't even know there were 5 stages before that. So the answers I'm looking for like other ppl who had similar NDEs to mine might be out there too and I just don't know what search terms to use.
One of the most interesting parts of the NDE to me was at the apex where my higher self told me telepathically "that's why we say off then on, bc you have to be on to have a concept of off." and "we do all these things because we love experiencing things, because experiencing things, anything at all, is better than experiencing nothing."
Idk if that helps or it's too much info or not enough 😂 You can DM me if you want to ask anything tho!
Thank you so much for sharing. I will look into the resources you provided. Appreciate you sharing your experience, that is so very intriguing.
You're welcome 💜
2029
Hopefully.
For Zootopia 2 to come to streaming so I can find a better watching experience that doesn't have movie theater goers in the background and allows me to see the full ending credits.
That, and I might, just might, be able to get a prenade fursuit head and paws, presuming this certain maker isn't a scam artist. Also assuming I'm not too big for it to fit, especially with my hair. Also doesn't help ease my worries that this person is supposedly located in Ukraine IIRC, so there's that as well.
Its already on jellyfin
If it's not a theater recording that would be cool. Definitely gonna have to check since pretty much everything I've found is theater recordings.
Zootopia 2 and the new demon slayer movie just dropped.
Also, the irony that you have to pirate the new demon slayer movie to be able to watch it is not lost on me.
Hopefully I'll move out of a studio and into a place big enough for a married couple in our 30s
Going to sleep while nobody is bombarding and polluting the air...
New season of Frieren coming out.
I have a few games I haven't started yet.
If I dare hope, some good time together with my so and more music would be great.
Crazily enough I'm also looking forward to getting back to work. I'm sure that'll fade, but I'm optimistic for the moment.
lets hope SG series is good as they say it is, and not turn it into something like ROP or NUTREK.
