I’d like to start by saying that I do have a gaming PC that’s more than capable of handling AAA titles, but I found myself straying away from sitting at a desk. About three months ago, I decided to pick up a Steam Deck OLED.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve bought and played so many games that I ended up upgrading the storage. I also installed DIY handheld joysticks—which are great, by the way—and Decky Loader. I’m genuinely proud of the Steam Deck and what it has accomplished. Even with all the other giants out there, I still find myself watching videos of others enjoying their Steam Decks and doing mods, even though I’ve done plenty of my own.

Recently, I’ve been playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which runs great on the Steam Deck with only a bit of UI bugginess, nothing that ruins the experience. I also started playing Diablo IV, which honestly feels like it was made for handheld gaming. A few other notable titles—Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Skyrim, and Borderlands 3—all play great on the Steam Deck as well.

I’m sure there are plenty of posts like mine, but I just wanted to share my opinion. Thanks for reading.
