Explanation: Rhodesia was a small white-dominated state next to South Africa. It ran a horrific apartheid regime wherein some 95% of the population was Black and yet deprived of almost all civil rights for the crime of... not being white. It was eventually absorbed into Zimbabwe after a 10+ year war.
Rhodesia commonly gets glazed by the far-right who use their (temporary) military successes and operational aggressiveness as some form of proof of the superiority of white people, instead of the effect of desperation of a privileged caste being hypermilitarized out of fear that they'll be treated the way they treated the oppressed. And also support from the larger economy of apartheid-era South Africa.
Unfortunately, they also suck in some otherwise unrelated surface-level militaria enjoyers into this with apologia about how Rhodesia 'wasn't that bad', so it's okay to enjoy the military short-shorts and FN-FALs.
