Emmett Otter is a more recent addition from my wife, but the other three have been staples forever.

Also, Little Drummer Boy. Non-stop motion, Christmas Story is a mainstay. It was filmed in the town where my late grandpa grew up, so it was always fun to hear him talk about the places.

Beyond that, not as much tradition but still frequent: Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Clause, and some variety of "Christmas Carol" (usually Mickey or Muppets, but not always).

My family always went hard into the Christmas movies.

In this moment I realized I had a cold war childhood. Fuck me.

I only recognize the top left.

My mother incessantly played Fiddler on the Roof (1971) during holiday season. No one in my family is Jewish, so I'm not sure why she felt that was a good choice for holiday cheer. Anyway, I hate that movie (and musicals in general), but still hear "If I were a rich man" and "Tradition" in my head throughout December

Bottom left is The Year Without a Santa Claus. It's a fun one where Mrs. Claus decides to take care of Christmas when Santa gets sick. It might be my favorite of the stop-motion Christmas movies.

Top right is Santa Claus is Covington Town. The narrator is a postman who tells the origin story of Santa. It's also a great short Christmas movie.

The same narrator is in an Easter movie as well with an evil queen made in the image of the child-hating queen in Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang. In the Easter movie, they reference the Bible some though oddly enough not as much about the death and resurrection and includes a hobo character named Hallelujah.

Edit: forgot to say that bottom right is Emmet Otter's Jug Band. The movie was made by Jim Henson and all the characters are Muppets. I haven't seen it, but i think it's different Muppets than appear in The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock.

What is that fourth movie? Only the first three were part of my childhood.

Emmet Otters jugband Christmas. It is a Jim Henson movie. I prefer a Muppet Family Christmas and a Muppet Christmas Carol myself
