Everyone Wants to Know What Gen Z Republicans Think. We Asked Them.

Gen Z conservatives are often portrayed by the media as a cohort radicalized by economic despair. They’re depicted as young people priced out of adulthood, lashing out through ideology. That’s the picture you get on cable news and on X, reinforced by both liberals and the oddball Right. But is it true?

Last week, we gathered 20 right-leaning Zoomers in a Nashville conference room for a Manhattan Institute focus group. They were mostly Trump voters, overwhelmingly Christian, a mix of college and non-college, ranging from late teens to twentysomethings edging into thirty.

Here are some more pictures

tweto

Anti-semitism in the west is indeed rising to levels unseen in our lifetimes but the only acceptable Discourse about it is Zionists accusing Palestine supporters of it and Palestine supporters rightly denying it, while ~50% of conservatives fall in love with Adolf Hitler

one more

Addie, an 18-year-old Hispanic Baptist Republican woman attending college, who considers herself “very right wing” but did not vote in the 2024 election. Addie walked out during the middle of the group.

lol, Latine Chud thought the Heirs of Hitler will see her as one of the good ones

Andrew needs a one way ticket to barbara-pit

you can’t get a job unless your bilingual most of the time in the United States

Ah yes, very few employed monolingual people in America. These fuckers will hallucinate the most ridiculous fever dreams just to keep that constant “everyone who isn’t like me has it so much easier than me” victim hood whining.

When Trump won they all celebrated because finally one of their monolingual community members had become president for the first time

Honestly we let one of them become president, we're not bilingualist! Bilingualism is over!

Americans seriously need to stop whining about learning a second language. In large parts of the world they expect you to know English in addition to your first language for lots of jobs.

We should take America back for our native population.

He was like, we have to take Germany back for Germans. And I feel like we should do that in America. We should take America back for our native population.

Let's start the self-deportations with you, Andrew, "20-year-old white Christian landscaper".

Be really, really funny if Native Americans were to bulldoze his house and deport him to France.

France

His name is "Andrew". On the other hand, deporting Br*tish people to Fr*nce is a good bit and consistent with deportation policy in AmeriKKKa.

 deporting Brtish people to Frnce

According to zionist (and the average white supremacist) logic, they're all Europeans, what's the difference

Listen, Eur*peans have so many places for them, and-

"We only ever speak to far right wing fascist members of gen Z and refuse to ever engage with non fascist gen Z, and it seems like being a fascist is being normalised amongst gen Z for some reason?!"

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 20 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

To be fair this specifically was about asking what gen z conservatives think

Of course they don't want to ask what gen z leftists think because they make a lot more sense and aren't going to glaze hitler. They instead will say shit like that CEO deserved it and we can't have that normalized.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 10 points 4 months ago

They know what they’re fucking doing.

They tried it with Mamdani and Bernie, succdems too far left for them. As media they knew what to do. The usual faulty advice of “Just ignore ’em, don’t feed the troll.” actually works here. Bernie had a good shot and was successfully ignored out of the room time and time again.

Usually when we use the term "hitlerite", it's figurative - comparing these people to actual followers of Hitler, not saying that they themselves actually claim to literally follow Hitler. That's what I expected here. In this case...

Millennials also have had a lifetime marked by multiple periods of economic and social dispair, but we didn't let it turn us right-wing

remembers that half of these zoomers were probably influenced by millennial alt-right chuds

Fuck, it's our fault isn't it.

[–] rootsbreadandmakka@hexbear.net 25 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Gen z conservatives are just millennial /pol/ posters

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, every generation has these people.

I really do think that there has been a lot of shit stirring by the media to get the various generations to hate each other. It's one of the few avenues for "attack the other to distract from the real problem" left.

I respect the optimism, but if you look at the OP image... agony-turbo

generations discourse is mostly meaningless i think. every generation thinks they're the first to do something, and every generation thinks their elders are too regressive. i watched the weed episode of dragnet and the boomer character was telling captain dragnet how "when my generation gains power, we're gonna legalize weed and crime!" the discourse has barely changed since 1960

[–] i_drink_bleach@hexbear.net 25 points 4 months ago

We should fight to give our country back to the Native Americans. Somehow, through the fugue of your nazi rhetoric you were correct for once in your life, Andrew. Idiot worm.

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 25 points 4 months ago

I agree. We should take America back for our native people. That is why I propose deporting every single cracker to their ancestral lands.

[–] Nomisslehere@hexbear.net 18 points 4 months ago

The Star Wars Youtuber is the most frustrating one because he is one of the least ghoulish of the bunch, makes videos on a franchise about rebellion and imperialism, is uncomfortable with far right violence and rhetoric, but chooses to be conservative because of culture war bullshit.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

How interesting….so when are gen Z leftists going to actually get their side of the story for once? What’s that? Our only media presence is in carefully edited anti-woke slop and we’re never asked why we actually believe what we do? Just the bad guys, no nuance?

Haha. Okay.

[–] chgxvjh@hexbear.net 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

wanted to reply something about carving the message onto bullets but that seems too much like a fedpost.

[–] into_highest_invite@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 4 months ago

writing "anti-imperialism" on bullet casings in sharpie to own the chuds
