If you didn't want me making jokes about the casket, why even invite me to the funeral?

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

My first experience at a funeral was my friend's mom who died of cancer when we were eight. He was totally unemotional about it. Kept touching her nose and saying how sticky it was. Didn't seem to give a shit about anything.

I left with no idea what to think. Funerals are weird.

That sounds like a formative memory

Hmm, which one of these categories covers being raised in a cult?

...or is it just all of them?

1,2,4 and 6

Because if you where raised (born) in a cult its not your choice.

Ah, but it can lead to poor life choices... and also fill my brain with things I shouldn't say...

I pick things I shouldn't say 100! (If ya want to share something)

crosses finger that i can solve it

Hmm, ok...

"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife..."

[–] FuyuhikoDate@feddit.org 3 points 3 days ago

Hmm... What sentence will you find in every patriarch religion?

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Religions Around the World

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 1 points 3 days ago

There's definitely levels to this.

In my mind, the "getting to know you" phase is when you conceal all that stuff. Not in a dishonest way. Show them who you are. They just don't need to know why you're that way.

"Le tits now" for $1000, Alex.

Disappointed there is no "Potent Potables" category.

[–] bigfondue@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

No Potpourri either

[–] duncan_bayne@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Bonus points for hitting all categories in a single sentence.

All of my poor life choices were based on lies and omissions. I recently found out that my highschool lied to me about that honors placement test to keep me in the remedial classes. The guidance counselor who slipped up and told that to me refused to say that that was wrong.

[–] HurricaneLiz@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

That's all the fun stuff tho?

Is "never learning how to set vertical alignment" one of the spaces under "poor life choices"? /s
