What is the virtue of live updates for a story like this? It's going to involve a court case from which we will neither have details nor proceedings for months. Short of he's been charged there's literally nothing to learn now other than baseless speculation.

There is none. The video at the top of the article is about how Donald Trump said the dead Reiner was “deranged.”

It’s a dark story that the son is being charged, so they’ll keep writing about it.

This is simply “if it bleeds, it leads.” Literally any attention is good attention for modern news.
