The full quote is:

A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!

Good job America. You've really put your best foot forward.

Fucking cunts.

lol, trump's grave is gonna be a public toilet

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What if it was his end goal all along?

There is a rumor of a pee tape after all

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 5 points 1 month ago

I'll be deficating all over it just like he has all of us. I'll only use my piss to spray away anything blocking his name because I wanna be sure the world can see who exactly I'm dumping on.

Right next to my fresh asparagus stand.

It'll have 200 voluntary armed guards at all times.

[–] okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Weird they'd want to watch me piss on a grave, but whatever blows your goat, I guess 🤷

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

They're not a functional bunch.

Surely he's going to be buried on his golf course like his ex wife?

Gender neutral public toilet

Trump does not speak for all Americans

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (5 children)

And yet Americans have managed to elect the absolutely least suitable person on earth as their president. Twice.

Unfortunately, that fact doesn't prevent people from grouping and othering to feel superior. What xenophobia does to a mf.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

America elected him twice. That says something right there.

This second round they are stripping away freedoms and rights yet the non-pro Trump people are just rolling over and letting it happen.

I think America wants this.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Yes, it says that the US is not as democratic as it pretends.

Because he lost the popular vote. Both times.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's literally his job to speak for all Americans.

Those Americans who disagree need to work much harder harder to fix the problems of their country which allowed him to become the leader (twice).

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Since when has Trump EVER been good at ANY job?

Again, he does not speak for all Americans. Period.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I never claimed he was good at it. Just that speaking for America is the presidents job.

Yes, a job that he is doing poorly at, but it's what you lot elected him (twice) to do.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Again, no. No it is not. He was not elected by the people. Do you not know how elections function in the US? You reek of prideful ignorance. Meaning, you sound American.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 0 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago) (1 children)

sigh

He was elected by the system that the USA uses to choose their leaders.

Regardless of how flawed that system is, he was chosen by the system of that country to be it's leader.

you sound American.

So now you're just insulting me.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Yea, the system elected him. Not all Americans.

Interesting how you cannot separate the two. Are you the kind of person to blame every single Russian for Putin? Every Chinese person for Xi? Everyone in the Philipines responsible for Duterte?

The list goes on... You blindly blaming the people for a problem that CLEARLY exists with systems and power structures is providing cover for how such people corrupt and take control. Your ignorance damages the world and helps only those in power retain control by dividing their opposition.

You have a shameful understanding of the world.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

The only ones who can fix this problem is Americans working together, rather than being a bunch of independent "rugged individualists" or whatever their self-image normally is.

Insisting that you are helpless victims of your own country doesn't do anything to improve the situation.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Nowhere did I say Americans are helpless victims. I said Trump doesn't speak for everyone. Crazy how you keep trying to blame people.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Trump doesn't speak for everyone

I hope more of your fellow Americans are willing to stand up and prove that.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Me too, but to say such shit as this convo is just alienating Americans and reducing the chances of that.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 0 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

just alienating Americans

I think the name of this sub is enough to do that...

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

Again, not separating the government from its people makes you the dumbest one in the room.

People got fired for blander takes on Charlie Kirk's murder.

[–] ArmchairAce1944@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 month ago

They expect you to worship them while they spit on your face.

[–] DeICEAmerica@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

From now and to whenever, when a Trump supporting POS cries about libs "celebrating death of so and so"... here you go. Go fuck yourself.

[–] ArmchairAce1944@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

I didn't know much about Rob Reiner or think about him before he was murdered. But this guy has one impressive filmography, he was the director behind The Princess Bride and A Few Good Men? This guy is a directorial heavyweight and a strong civil rights supporter. Even the mocking that South Park gave to him didn't make him look dumb (smoking is bad, OK? It just is).

The sheer anger and hatred that Trump spouted is disgusting, but fully par on course with Trump's disgusting behavior.

Wake up, just wake up.
