Anime characters in an everyday professional setting, wearing office or retail-suitable clothing or anything equivalent.

  1. Posts must feature "officemoe". That is, anime characters engaged in, dressed for, or from series about, everyday working life.
  2. No nudity. Lewd art is fine, but mark it NSFW.
  3. If posting a more suggestive piece, or one with simply a lot of skin, consider still marking it NSFW.
  4. Include a link to the artist in post body, if you can.
  5. AI Generated content is not allowed.
  6. Positivity only. No shitting on the art, the artists, or the fans of the art/artist.
  7. Finally, all rules of the parent instance still apply, of course.

SauceNao can be used to effectively reverse search the creator of a piece, if you do not know it.

You may also leave the post body blank or mention @saucechan@ani.social, in which case the bot will attempt to find and provide the source in a comment.

All the people recommending Freiren or talking about Freiren like "It's a show about a really depressed OP elf with a preteen body" and I'm just like "pass, pure pass, 100% skip on this one."

Brainlet behavior.

Flat = underage? Have you never seen adult women with small breasts IRL?

[–] Harvey656@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Flet chested women don't exist. /s

Who tf you talking to, that you're using the words "preteen body" to describe Frieren?

I have literally never, ever, heard anyone claim that as a selling point for why someone should get into the show or manga.

What kinda people you hanging with, that they watch one of the most profound pieces of modern media, for that reason?

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -5 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

She is small and flat af, it's gross.

[–] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 hours ago

She isn’t really sexualized in the show at all? Elves in the lore are canonically asexual and aromantic.

Why? Since when is height or a pair of breasts what makes someone capable of consent?

You saying you'd touch someone unconcious as long they're stacked?

Are you one of those people who look at short men and women and immediately jump to the worst of conclusions if they have romantic partners?

Business cards must freak you the fuck out

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

If there were a show about the dead romance of a business card I'd pass on that, too, but in the business card's favor at least it's not borderline pedophilic.

What dead romance? How the hell has this show been described to you?

A dude had a crush on Frieren, and he aged to death before she realized. When she does realize, she's sad.

But she's not just crying because of that one guy. She has an epiphany, realizing that for her whole life, she's been neglecting relationships. And they've been passing her by because she wasn't paying attention.

In her mind, being immortal she has all the time in the world. But it took her a thousand years to realize that the world around her, doesn't. She cries because she's missed out on a thousand years of people.

She's crying for everyone she's ever met. Friends and families she migth've had, but didn't.

And that's the first few episodes.

If the show is about anything, it's about Frieren raising a daughter in Fern, after learning this lesson through Himmels death.

So she's just going to continue being jailbait for eternity? Fuck, thats even worse than I thought it was. 200% pass.

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

What DO you watch?

It sounds like 100% of anime would be out to you, since characters that look young merely existing is an instant deal-breaker for you.

Like, are you gonna flip even harder when I tell you Frieren adopts an actual child? She raises Fern into a capable mage starting at a very early age.

Are you here just to be problem?

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -1 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

Oh boy, two reasons not to watch now! Next you're going to tell me a tiny Demon King's Daughter is somehow involved and we can be up to three.

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Right. So the answer is yes. Likely to both questions.

I'm just going to assume you're only here to ragebait at this point.

I'm going to issue a one-week ban and ask you to not repeat this behaviour.

If it does repeat, the next ban will be permanent, and apply to all the moe communities.

To be jailbait in the first place she'd have to be underage. That's... what that word means. In fact if we want to be really precise, in some circumstances it's used to describe girls who are developed enough to appear "old enough".

Another reason bust size is a terrible way to judge someone's age.

But it's even worse when you realize some real people can look that young well into their thirties. Too bad everyone is grossed out by adults who look that much younger than they actually are.

No wait. I'm not.

And it has absolutely no impact on my ability to understand and respect the concept of consent. Which is good. Since, you know, even adults can be incapable of it.

It's weird how you can post so many artworks and at the same time pretend intent plays no part of an artists works.

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 1 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

Art is 100% expression. What it is not, is action.

Depicting something, is not the same as doing something.

Please elaborate. I think I can see where you're going, since I've seen it before. But it's so stupid that I'm in disbelief every time. So I'd love for you to say it plain.

The intent to what?
