Trans women will be barred from the main part of the 2026 Labour (UK) women’s conference and entrance to the main conference hall.

The decision follows on from the UK supreme court’s ruling on gender identification and the rights of self determination for trans individuals.

On April 16, 2025, the UK Supreme Court ruled that only those who are what it terms as biologically female can be defined as women

What's the motivation? Is there a legal obligation, or are biological female party members demanding the barring?
