@faab64 @gazette @palestine@lemmy.ml @Palestine@masto.ai an extension of decades of making propaganda out of the suffering of Palestinians to distract their own oppressed subjects, while not investing much in actual help for the Palestinian people.
I've met people from many parts of the Arab world, and they all saw through it.

@faab64 @gazette @palestine@lemmy.ml @Palestine@masto.ai I don't think you should word it like that. The governments and the wealthy and powerful are the enemy. Nationalism is propaganda designed to artificially align the interests of the wealthy and the poor against a fictional, foreign enemy.
Arabs are just people like the rest of us.
I'm judging based on the personal obesrvasion and the reality of the lives in almost all arab countries.
We have a large north African population where we live, I used to buy my fruits, meat and vegetables at their shops. NONE of them boycott Israeli products, they even rebrand Jafa oranges as Spanish and Israeli dates as Algerian.
They are very passionate about their support of Palestine, but they are doing almost NOTHING to help them
