Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.
No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.
6. No linking to piracy
Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.
We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

Truly, lol. He was disappointed because he thought the MegaMan reveal was talking about Gordon Freeman.
Megaman hasn't even done anything wrong (yet)... but we HATES IT!
It wasn't MegaMan Legends, and therefore I do not care. Capcom can stay losing with my wallet.

I’m not really excited about anything because I don’t care much for AAA but it‘s funny to me that a show like the Game Awards was never about the awards but just an excuse to show some world premier trailers.
They keep telling us how this is a celebration of this year while trailers for games in the coming years take center stage. It feels more like the most cynical funeral of old games while the new ones get coronated with their announcements.
And I know this is comment isn‘t deep or profound to anybody who ever watched the Game Awards but I just find it comical every year.
On the other hand, winning an award from this show has a tangible effect on game sales, so it's nice when a game like Baldur's Gate 3 can beat the mainstays like The Legend of Zelda and earn that bump for themselves.

It's just a big advertising show yeah. Like E3 but with all the soul and community sucked out of it. I dont know why anyone cares.
I just want to see some more exceptionalism from Flute Guy.

Todd Howard flayed alive on live televison.
None of it.
I've never cared for it - the entire show's awards and announcements could be YouTube Shorts that I can pick and choose to watch, and I'd get exactly the same thing out of it.
I wait a day and then check for a megathread with bullet points, then see if there is anything of interest to me.
I'm looking forward to the podcasts that'll make fun of it.

- anything by fromsoftware
- a new final fantasy game that isn't based on ff7
- the new bioshock game that was rumored for years now
