Not sure where else to put it, so here's a mini rant most of you have probably already realized.

The term Palantir comes from Tolkein's LoTR work. I had heard that before. But I didn't realize a Palantir is the crystal ball thingy that the baddies use to spy. And the strong of will can apparently control what others see.
