Omg this reminds me of a box turtle my aunt & uncle had named "Killer". He was allowed to run around the house wherever he wanted, and could always be found in places like underneath the entertainment center or couch. I fucking LOVED finding him and rubbing his shell when I was a kid.
He was still around when I went home like ~5 years ago.
