Why don't we discourage using X for all European citizens?

For the far-right users that still frequent it, we can just set up an alternative closed corner that is more moderate, populated by bots, and then have them go there, then cut off X altogether.

Then the algorithms will make them go more moderate.

And also,

Needs more zeros. Make it a โ‚ฌ100 billion fine. If Twitter can't pay it, then Musk must pay it from his own personal wealth. Corruption poisons society, and society needs to purge corruption!

Good that different EU bodies investigate these but for X this is just a cost of doing business unfortunately. They're not going to change anything.

Is xitter actually making any money now? If it was any other large tech company I would agree, but Twitter always seemed to struggle to stay afloat. This isn't an endorsement of twitter, I wished this fine would be enough to bring them down.

Doesn't really matter. Musk won't let it go bankrupt.

Any DSA infringement in general never ends with just a fine. Businesses need to change to be compliant and must create an action plan with changes or else they risk continuous penalties as it says so in the press release:

Failure to comply with the non-compliance decision may lead to periodic penalty payments.

They might superficially change something to be "compliant" but otherwise continue to do business as usual.

And yes I know the grammar doesn't add up, and yes I'm too lazy to fix it.

Can we go back to saying X (formerly known as Twitter)? They so do notdeserve to claim a letter as their name.

I call it ex-Twitter. I think that makes it the most clear what it's supposed to be.

In fact, I quite like Twitter, even despite it is proprietary. But if it confines to violate our rules, it should be banned from EU.
