Lucky ai. Getting stuck in Chaotica's demesne is the dream.
TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Lol, oh yes. The AI's get the best plotlines:
The confinement rings. Lonzak presses a button on his belt, and Janeway is a crying baby in a state of artificial hibernation, programmed to end four years ago. It's literally an escape hatch.

Don't tempt me, Patrick. It'd be like a holodeck adventure on acid.
I mean, you're free to click through the slop generator lol. It's open to the public. Each link at the bottom leads to a new random output based on the transcripts from those two episodes and some Jack Handey quotes to spice it up.
I'll admit, some of them are quite funny.
Thanks but no. I'll keep my brain non-sloppified for today. I don't need fewer iq points.
I self-host a lot of things, but few are really public and hardly any of them see any traffic at all. So far I've avoided that mess, but I should look into that honeypot-ish thing. Sounds like an excellent idea.
I've got a few public-facing things in addition to this lemmy instance and have been content until now just returning 404 to any bot user agent. You'd think they'd take the hint that nothing's here for them but no. Had some free time yesterday so finally setup Nepenthes. Seems pretty lightweight so far (not as lightweight as a 404 response but where's the fun in that?) and I've got the bandwidth to spare, so what the heck?
It feels like the digital equivalent of filling Amazon boxes with dog poo and leaving them out for porch pirates.
It's a glorious idea. I host on very lightweight hardware (on purpose, kind of as a game) and have plenty of bandwidth. Might be a fun thing to try. Thanks for the tip!
Well, it's not made by Tuvix so that's a good diet.
In some timelines, that's two meals.
What’s the third meal?
