Last weekend, 50,000 people gathered in the German town of Gießen to protest against a youth conference of the far-right party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). They wanted to found a Generation Deutschland — but what we saw on the streets was a Generation Antifa.

In Geilenkirchen this summer there was an antifascist counter demo across the street from them AfD racists. Enjoyable to have seen the awkward smirk on their faces like they shit their pants and trying to be proud of it. My wife and me stood by for a bit.
