Hello! This is the first time I have ever been a part of this type of community and this is my first comment ever here!
Things are going good for me. I am hoping to eventually find an instance that has an ocarina and piano community. I have been getting more and more into music as of late. Always looking to be with other like-minded musicians.
This week has been ... trying. My electrical system failed twice in my van, and I don't trust it to survive the night (luckily, I have good bedding that should negate the need to risk heat tonight). But it's only 17.00 and I'm already down to 25.3V.
Which sounds fine for a 24V system but is actually scarily low, as nominal for LFP is 25.6V, and things tend to go sideways below that.
I continue dealing with the fallout from Pop's death, and the seemingly solidified plan to visit my ex-wife for a couple of days, starting tomorrow? Yeah, she's being a bit flighty about the offer holding.
I essentially wake up each morning wondering what's going to go wrong today.
But I also remember times when this was not the case. Being constantly on edge is ageing me.
Quick folo: A friend brought by another battery that seems to charge just fine, but I can't speak to more than a day of that, given that I did not wake up in my van today. It is very strange to be surrounded by nostalgia while my ex-wife finishes her shift.
Its my last finals week and I'm grading. Next week I'll be unemployed. I've had three interviews and got close. So I'm keeping at it but thinking long and hard about what to do next. You can view my post history for that, I'll spare you here. Anyone want a researcher/disaster scholar/history nerd for stuff? I can bring cookies. :-)
Noting that, doing ok. Hit a PR on dead lift -150kg- that given my age I am super happy about. My short children's story I threw out with no marketing via self publishing just to do it sold a copy. It was an organic sale to a stranger. I made a wonderful gluten free artisan bread.
All the little things added up and I don't have a caas of the Mondays.
I'm alright I think.
Trying to find a job still but applications are looking pretty good at the moment for once! I'm currently on my way to a final interview for a decent position. It's an AI engineer role at a consultancy company, so doesn't really meet my usual requirement of doing work that doesn't actively make the world a worse place. But.. after applying for 3 months at different morally justifiable places that have no interest in hiring me, well, a girl needs to eat.
I have some other job opportunities lined up that could also be fine so things might be looking up soon. I'm just looking forward to start the new year employed.

The book sounds interesting! How do you like it so far? Ik that we bred sheep to basically rely on us, but that's about all I know.
Life is indescribably insufferable right now. Shit keeps hitting the fan. For example, a cat I was just getting to know from my bf's family died. He booped my nose with his nose and I was like, yay, he likes me. ;-;
In other news, school. I paid my price in sanity this semester. I don't recommend having 2 part time jobs plus internship while doing a full time liberal arts degree if you can help it. I hope to regain some of my sanity in roughly a week from now.
I'll be spending Christmas alone or working. But I think I might need to hermit after everything... e Even then there's just always something that has to be done. Life is a lot. Just glad that I basically have one semester left after this.
