I'm gonna go with Kaepora Gaebora, the owl from OOT.
Would you like me to repeat that? Yes.......

If Ocarina of Time counts as adventure game, then yes, that owl is despised, even though it only wants to help.
Cedric the owl.
Graham watch out! A POISONOUS snake!
That owl was annoying when I was a kid. I hated it too.
Navi from ocarina of time. "Hey! Listen!"
Ocarina of time is not an adventure game.
edit: I'm talking about point and click. I'd classify ocarina of time as a skill-based rpg
Not a point and click adventure. But I would still classify it as an adventure game. Wikipedia classifies it as an action adventure.
it's not quite what I think of when I read 'adventure game'. I think point and click and puzzles. not skill based action ones.
Understandable. It feels kind of wrong for me too. But technically right.
Wow. That's some confidence. Utterly incorrect, but damn impressive confidence there.
relax. this is a gaming sub. not a reddit shitfight.
Good person hated by fans: Glottis from Grim Fandango, Wally from Monkey Island, April Ryan from The Longest Journey
I thought everyone loved Glottis? Lol
Manny you promised!
Wally? He never had enough screentime. Yes, kind of a whiney little cartographer, but who really hates him?
Idk, I was struggling to think of characters.
You should get a false beard and try yourself as a pirate instead :)
April Ryan is hated by fans (as opposed to even mixed views)?
Idk, honestly it's a hard box to fill. I do know people who find her annoying, but it's hard to count them as fans.
Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite.
Hey, stop looking at the guy shooting at you and take this thing I just found...
But she isn't hated. I even remember she was praised for non-stucking in doors and furniture. The engine just teleported her to the player in case something happened.
She was the low point playing the game for me, assumed others also felt the pain.
