Most likely to protect it from the high seas. There's only one person known to crack denuvo games and they're apparently quite controversial and currently on hiatus.
That's the denuvo. The anti cheat is for mod protection it sounds like to me

Fuck DRM especially on a singleplayer game, if I ever do pay for a game (and these days that pretty rare) I do so on GOG
