Good like "Typical hero saving the world from evil Evil from modern RPGs"-good? Or just Guybrush Threepwood tier of good where the guy isn't malicious per se but could nail you shut in the coffin if you can't shut up.

For new games and old.
I would say Guybrush is morally gray lol
I was thinking of Guybrush Threepwood and I didn't feel he fit the requirements.
Guybrush Threepwood
First one that came to mind! I was coming in to add the name.
I'm voting for Hamilton Temple from The 7th Guest lol (the magician with the turban)
April Ryan of the Longest Journey series.
Henry - Kingdom Come: Deliverance (can be played morally grey, but mostly defaults to goodly choices)
Ratchet - Ratchet and Clank series (I haven't played the last ~3 games, so this may have changed)
Spider-Man - uh, the Spiderman games (feels wrong to say he's from a game, which probably means I'm stretching).
Really interesting thought exercise, surprisingly difficult.
Kim Kitsuragi. I don't think I would categorize Disco Elysium as an adventure game since the genre implies a broader scope, but I would argue the character's investigation is a kind of adventure.
Disco Elysium is definitely an adventure game.
Link (of Zelda)
Yeah, I think this should count, and should be the vote. Legend of Zelda are adventure games. But not the classic point and click style though.
But Link is the most morally good of all the suggestions. Unless you're looking for a character that's also not a main character.
Guybrush immediately came to mind but yeah, I can see the argument that he might not be indisputably "good" enough.
I want to say Bobbin Threadbare, but it always feels like I dreamed that game because no one else knows it, so probably doesn't qualify for being "loved by fans." Ben from Full Throttle is also probably still too obscure.
Does Indiana Jones' non adventure game fame count? I loved the Last Crusade adventure game.
AFGNCAAP from Zork Grand Inquisitor tends to be viewed surprisingly neutral
we seriously got a tie? wtf lol, maybe if I wait a bit it'll be settled
