Back from injury. I hope he's OK, and properly fit. He's facing Mitakeumi tomorrow after missing the first 9 days.

According to sumodb, Meisei fought on Day 10 after 9 days of absence: https://sumodb.sumogames.de/Rikishi.aspx?r=11946

Yorikiri'd by Nishikifuji. I'll keep an eye out for it in some more-complete stream than DonDon's.

He's already guaranteed demotion to Juryo tho, isn't he? So he's not fighting thru injury to save his rank, like Kotozakura is.

Seems a bit pointless then. Why not sit it out and use the time to heal?

Could it mean he's at full strength? Results so far seem at odds with that. Would his score in this basho affect his juryo ranking for the next one? Maybe he's just fighting for honour - he's fit(-ish?) so he feels he should fight?

His score is definitely going to affect his rank, but with 9 losses on the card, eking out a few wins won't make much of a difference.
