“I never thought that fighting to release the Epstein files, defending women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the web of rich powerful elites would have caused this, but here we are,” Greene said.

I never thought the leopards would eat my face!

I'd say trump is the guy getting his face eaten. He ran half his campaign on striking down the evil pedophil cabal, while clearly being part of it, and now it's biting him in the ass.

Even though MTG is a self serving rascist, I'm happy to see her pry open the growing fracture in the party.

I don't think he was trying to strike it down at all, I think he was trying to gain control of it. He wanted the power & blackmail potential for himself to wield against his enemies, but the info got leaked and now his plans are crumbling like the East Wing.

And you know what? The Greene woman must be elated: Trump just handed her a political future post-Trump on a platter. And that's exactly what she wanted.

You know what? I never thought of that, but that's a great point.

Been saying I bet a lot of Republicans jump ship on the coming vote, try to get ahead of the disaster.

“Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was,” he said. “Just another Fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

If this is not proof that grandpa's grey matter has turned to mush, I don't know what is. When my father - who also had fronto-temporal dementia, like Trump - began spewing out nonsense like that and being this aggressive to others, my siblings and I had to institutionalize him.

My father fortunately didn't turn violent with his dementia, but the word salad mess was similar on everyday topics, both in writing and in talking. And it didn't happen quickly, so we got used to him sounding a bit quirky.

I keep wondering how long his handlers allow him in public. I first noticed his dementia truly going off the rails in 21 or 22. He really fell of the cliff this past year and is still accelerating.

I read the article, but I saw no "slur" anywhere. He called her a RINO. Maybe republikans consider that a slur?

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, it is outcast territory no hope kind of stuff. It can mean a death sentence for a politician (metaphorically for now).

[–] Zapados@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Honestly think Trump is just trying to distract from Epstein scandal

[–] slothrop@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

By attacking the most prominent GOP Rep pushing the Epstein scandal??

String Theory chess!

Greene's a polarizing figure; Trump's got every right to call her out
