- Units don't attack the specific unit you told them to. From noobs' perspective, this isn't necessarily bad, because noobs will often instruct their entire army to attack one enemy unit when what they actually want is to engage the army. But even mid-Elo players know how to use attack move, and when we right-click a specific unit, it's because we want to focus that unit down. The game simply does not let you do that.
- Jittering when spam-clicking.
- Weird regathering. A big problem in all the aoe games, but it seems especially bad here.
- Units getting stuck.
- Replays go out of sync. It makes it so hard to learn from your past games. It makes things way worse for the pro and caster scenes. You just...can't rewatch a whole game.
- Relic tooltips flicker. Since the release of the game.
- It's hard to click on a specific tree that you want.
- Some weird camera movement? This might be the first one I can say I definitely have not experienced myself.
- Mods and custom scenarios can't be easily found and joined in the lobby browser. I remember I used to love custom scenarios back in the ESO days. You'd browse through the lobby browser, see a game that sounded cool, and jump in. I spent many hours in Kronos Escape and Helm's Deep, which I found in this way.
It's hard to disagree with what Nakamura says here. All of these, with the possible exception of 2 and 8, these all have a serious effect on normal gamers' gaming experience. Whether you're Nakamura, Boit, or Kvoth, or just a regular 1000 Elo joe, these matter. I still love the game and thoroughly enjoy it, but the amount of times I've been frustrated by one of these is pretty damn high.
