Hi everyone,
I’m considering getting the new Surface Laptop (Snapdragon X Elite version), but I’d like to hear some real user experiences before making a decision.
I’m a software developer who often runs Linux (usually Arch) and does backend programming, but I can adapt to any OS or language if needed.
I’m mainly interested in:
– Performance compared to x86 models (especially Intel and AMD).
– App compatibility on Windows ARM.
– Battery life and thermals in real use.
– Any issues with virtualization, WSL, or development tools.
Do you think it’s worth buying a Surface with an ARM processor right now, or should I wait for better compatibility and optimization?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
