It’s worth pointing out that he’s not saying they are doing things wrong that are deserving of prison. Rather that Democrats are so radical they will send innocent republicans to prison.
Much the same way Trump is actively doing now with ICE and other DOJ decisions.
.... or even worse than that, suggesting that what they are doing is not wrong but that they would be punished for their actions if someone else came into power that didn't support them.
He's also definitely trying to muddy the waters and make it seem like any prosecutions of the crimes committed during this administration are inherently political. Gotta get the messaging out early.
Also, if republicans do anything that seems like an insurrection, it is in defense of tyranny, not the other way around.
