Been playing a lot of Fortnite, Madden, and Outlaws on my Switch 2.

Haven't played Fortnite in quite a while but my kid loves it, and I love the visuals of this season, wish it had some nice single player content.
How are you liking Star Wars Outlaws? Have heard great things about the port, but none of my friends liked the game (played on other platforms).
Also, how does Madden play on Switch 2?
I entirely forgot the Three Houses DLC, I don't think I ever bought it. Curious to see whether you'd recommend it or not.
Anyways, I did play more Harvestella and just like announced last week, I just did a lot of farming to get filthy rich.
I also did most side quests while waiting for the days to pass. The game does this thing where almost all side quests are available at once and I always feel compelled to do them all before going back to the main story - despite knowing better. I did the same for Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth and came to regret it, since I was massively overleveled and the side quests became quite formulaic when done it quick succession. Same here, but I couldn't help myself.

Well, as I mentioned, I didn't think the story was that great, or liked the characters too much, but the battles were good. Only 7 chapters though, so 7 new battles. I don't think I'll recommend it if you are only going to play the DLC, but if you are going to play the main game again, the additional classes, characters, and auxiliary battles can be a good addition.
This is just my subjective opinion though.

Ooh, that's a tough one. I also feel compelled to complete the side quests before doing the main quests, so I can understand how you might be feeling about it.
When the Switch first came out, I got BotW with it and I just couldn't get with it, It just didn't 'click' for me.
I repurchased it with the Switch2 and got the upgrade pack, I'm loving it the second time trying it. I've got all 4 bosses down and will get a bunch more hp/stamina before I go to the castle. I'm not in too much of a rush as I've still got so much to see and I've got TotK after (which did click when I got it on the S1 but will restart save for a fresh playthrough).
Glad it clicked for you now. As much as I love these games, playing them back to back would be too much for me, I'll probably just burn out. So, I'll recommend to pace yourself, and have fun!
Playing Super Robot Taisen Y!
Reached chapter 6 and got a cool new attack for the Yz-Lunedrache. Also got to the point of the game you have to make your ending choice and went with the "B" route, which is supposed to be the harder one.
Ending Choice
I barely met Izana and it's entirely possible she's a victim of Dr. Yagami, but she was being shitty to Echika and big sis Forte can't tolerate that. So I picked the "rejection" choice and and we'll see where this leads us.
Happy that once again you can recruit the "alternate" protagonist, I finished the "Relic of Gold" missions and got Cross in my team. He seems more fun than I expected, but given how long this game is I don't think I'll do a second run with him as the lead.
Playing Nine Sols!
Lady Ethereal was an insanely hard boss and almost got me to finally drop from "standard" difficulty, but after a billion* attempts I managed to beat her. Incredibly fun battle though, despite all those deaths I never got frustrated. The buildup for the battle was also amazing and added a lot to the experience.
I'm really enjoying this game. Bosses are challenging but fair, exploration is rewarding, and the feeling of "growth" of your main character as you get more upgrades is great. One additional highlight is the story, there's a lot of cool comic-book style cutscenes and plenty of dialogue with NPCs adding lore and character building.
(*) It's a hyperbole but I died a ridiculous amount of times to this boss.
It wouldn't be a hyperbole if I was playing it, at least on standard difficulty. 😀
Glad to see you are still enjoying it though.
I’ve been enjoying BALL X PIT. Breakout/Araknoid inspired metaprogression roguelike.
Was going to ignore it because of roguelike, but I am hearing great things about it, has even been recommended by a friend.
Perhaps I’m biased as roguelikes are one of my main genres, but it’s definitely on the -lite end of the spectrum IMO and should be enjoyable for anyone who thinks a full feature brick-breaker game sounds interesting. The classics were level/round based anyway, so the balatro style presentation really works.
Yeah, heard that it's fun even if you don't like roguelikes, and I don't. Hades was one of the exception, but even then I only finished the game twice, not the 8 time required for credits roll, or 20+ times after that for true ending.
I love brick-breaker games though.
Still working through Xenoblade X. Finally got the ability to fly! I remember when this happened on the Wii U, I was so excited I took the test robot you're just supposed to fly out to a rock and back around the entire world instead. It's one of the reasons why I love this game, how many big open world games allow you to fly freely like that? Though I definitely overdid it and made myself run out of world to explore back then, so I'm taking it slow this time. Just patched up the holes in my satellite system for now.
Wild Arms 2 is also progressing smoothly. It's weird how many small things I remember, but important events feel completely new to me!
Monster Hunter Wilds introduced Arch Tempered Nu Udra recently and once again, it hits pretty damn hard! The Switch Axe's most powerful attack gives you Super Armor and that's actually causing problems here! One of his attacks will just flat-out kill me because it doesn't knock me back and thus hits me multiple times! And if he winds up that attack after I've already started charging mine, I'm just stuck anticipating a death I know I can no longer avoid. Which means I need to exercise restraint, a word that doesn't exist in the brain of a Switch Axe user!
Yeah, once I got the fly module, I just flew everywhere and explored many weird places.
Heh, good luck with Arch Tempered Nu Udra!
Oh, Age of Calamity! I got Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and I am loving it. 60fps is how these games were meant to be played! I'm only a few hours in, but it's incredibly fun and one of the best games this year for me. It has everything I enjoyed about Age of Calamity, but it looks and runs so much better. I love the BotW/TotK stuff, and Koei Tecmo do such a good job with Zelda storytelling (whereas Nintendon't). I think I'll be playing this continuously until Metroid Prime 4 comes out (and even after that too).
Last week I mentioned TMNT: Splintered Fate. I finally got to play it! I went straight to online with my cousin, not knowing much about it. It's fun, but challenging! We did a few runs of the sewers and the furthest we got is we managed to beat Karai, but lost against the punk frogs. I guess we need to learn a bit more about upgrades and such, but we got our asses kicked! We'll probably play some more on our own and hopefully be better prepared for our next session.
Yeah, Age of Calamity, then Fire Emblem Warriors, and then Age of Imprisonment, so it'll probably be 3-4 years before I get around to it 😀
That's the thing with roguelikes that I don't like, but TMNT is TMNT, so going to give it a try at least.
