Getting all the shares available under this package over the next 10 years would be the equivalent of earning US$275m a day.

If you have a retirement account with "normal" recommended investments (I.e. broad-market mutual funds, target date or otherwise), you're (indirectly) a Tesla shareholder and the fund manager likely voted your shares for this on your behalf.

You've been disenfranchised and the people controlling your money are breaching their fiduciary duty to you. You should be fucking pissed off!

alternative for anyone that wants it, if in the US with 401k: log in your account, reallocate target funds, S&P 500 or NASDAQ 100 to Mid cap, small cap, international funds and/or stable fund, better if you diversify. this will also give you some protection from incoming ai bubble burst

disclosure: i am not financial advisor, just some internet dude

The board of directors that designed the pay package require him to hit several ambitious financial and operational targets, including increasing the value of the company on the stock market nearly six times its current level.Musk also has to deliver 20 million Tesla electric vehicles to the market over 10 years

This is just like telling your idiot kid "If you get all A's, we can go to disneyland". It'll shut them up for a while and you know it's a safe bet you won't ever have to pay out.

Seems like he's just looting the company to go to Mars or whatever.

He doesn’t get the money unless he meets certain sales goals.

He'll meet them, he could buy all the Tesla's himself and it'd probably still be cheaper than the payout package he's offered at the end. Not to mention he won't have to, the police departments are starting to buy them.

A "milestone" is getting more self driving vehicles on the road. When the bonus was announced last month, he redefined what Tesla means by "Self Driving".

His fragile, little boy ego needs this. He's embarrassed by how Trump treated him, this is how billionaires "take the high road".

No consequences for the wealthy, as usual. What a fantastic crock of shit they call a system.

Ahhh yes he'll finally have enough money to... I don't even fucking know at this point. What is having more money really going to enable him to do that he can't already?

As his former friend billionaire said in his letter after the Nazi salute, Elon wants total control of a planet. Either earth or mars

[–] MummifiedClient5000@feddit.dk 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I say we give him Mars, as long as he fucks off.

Ideally just a 8x3x3ft at 6ft deep in the earth
