Also it is pretty dumb to ask if if this is how we ALL think, as if this is some kind of monolithic group of people. While all of the members are left-leaning, not everyone is actually marxist-leninist, each and every member is at their own stage of learning and struggling with their own contradictions.

You'll see most of the lines in this shared in jokes or memes, but no one in the 'grad seriously thinks that China is interested in attacking the U$, or directly wants the death of innocent colonized people that would entail.

The general sentiment, that the political entity of the U$ needs to be fully destroyed, and that Westerners are incredibly blinded by propaganda, is largely shared here.

If you're not interested in seeing stuff from the grad, you should be able to block the few communities we post in pretty easily.

I have literally zero faith in the settler majority. I'd sooner believe y'all will go straight-up fascist before (with a major 'if' appended) you'll ever, ever take a truly progressive or egalitarian turn. I believe y'all would sooner kill your subjects-of-empire before y'all would ever liberate them. If I had the mass amounts of liquid resources necessary, I'd seek political asylum elsewhere. Y'all are lost causes to me, and I see nothing to be gained from putting my life on the line for those who'd never do the same for me.

Maybe not so doom and gloom, but in general I think I can safely say that we agree with the broad point of this post. The west is so fully up its own ass and desperately needs a revolution, yes. I don't think that revolution can come from externally though. It'll be a long slow process, with the exploited periphery gradually liberating itself and the borders of the empire gradually contracting.

Yes and no. I think most people on lemmygrad have at least gone though a doom and gloom phase at one point, at least for us converts (Came from left liberalism, found communism, made a lot of sense to me when I broke through the propaganda bullshit, but felt like I hit a wall because anti-communism is so effective in the west).

If you stick around you will find a lot of good discussion with nuance, thought provoking ideas, and possibilities for positive change. But yeah, it's harder to do that than to just look at the world with disgust.

i personally think that western leftists have the responsibility to help the communist cause in the countries they live in even if a revolution is highly unlikely...somebody needs to do the dirty work and if every leftist from the west would immigrate to another country than the chances of socialism will go from 0,01% to a straight zero. It is hell here i agree but i wont use my western privilege to immigrate to Vietnam and abandon the socialists in the west just because i personally cant stand the current politics and want to immediately live under socialism. That although is my opinion and if you really want to live elsewhere i wish you all the best and that you will soon have the possibility to do so.
