> The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel’s restrictions on UNRWA and its blockade of humanitarian aid to Palestinians violate international law and its obligations as an occupying power.

The court urged Israel to ensure free access for humanitarian assistance in Gaza and the West Bank, stating that using aid as political pressure contradicts the Geneva Conventions.

Israel refused to participate in the proceedings, calling the court “biased,” while humanitarian groups warned that the blockade is deepening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
