You start by building something that works. YouTube sucks, but it does work. The broadcast companies, and Comedy Central since we were all trying to watch Daily Show & Colbert as well, built terrible websites that barely worked and were inconvenient to share.

Also sometimes they were just clips, half the joke. YouTube now gets the full interviews, sometimes extend interviews that are online only.

Even 20 years later, Comedy Central’s website is dogshit. Look up old Stewart/Colbert clips? Forget about it
